Steve Backshall trains with Prometheus!
Prometheus was delighted to renew Steve Backshall’s medical training last week on his #TECC course. NAEMT’s Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) course is renowned worldwide as it teaches EMS practitioners and other prehospital providers how to respond to and care for patients in a civilian tactical environment.
Steve said, “Every time I do this course it reminds me of how even entry-level skills could save lives. The actions a bystander takes in the first few minutes of a medical emergency are the most crucial.”
Steve was very complimentary regarding our faculty of instructors who are all top-notch, up-to-date doctors, nurses and paramedics, he said, “get training from people who do it for real!”
Our instructors immerse students in the scenarios and we find the hands-on aspect of our training courses impacts the retention of knowledge – students are empowered with confidence.
Steve says that with training, “When a crisis hits you’ll be less likely to panic, and do the basic things really well. you could well save a life.” We agree and prepare our students for any scenario they might encounter.
