Prometheus Medical Limited wins Queen's Award for Enterprise: Innovation 2019!
Prometheus Medical is one of 61 organisations nationally to be recognised with a prestigious Queen’s Awards for Enterprise: Innovation. Officially announced today (Tuesday 23rd April), Prometheus Medical Ltd has been named as the winner for the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation.
The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise: Innovation was first won by Prometheus in 2015 for the Russell Chest Seal® and, this year, for the simple but intuitive Prometheus Pelvic Splint. The Prometheus Pelvic Splint has been designed to stabilise pelvic injuries in emergency pre-hospital environments. The Prometheus Pelvic Splint has taken a very significant share of the UK pelvic splint market and now dominates with an 80% share of that market.
Now in its 53rd year, the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are some of the most prestigious accolades for businesses in the United Kingdom. It allows winning businesses to use the esteemed Queen’s Awards emblem for the next five years. We will be celebrating the award during a royal reception for Queen’s Awards winners in the summer.
We feel honoured and delighted to receive this award. The Prometheus team works tirelessly to develop medical products that are clever in their simplicity, solve real medical problems and which contribute to the saving of lives. This award recognises our team and our ethos, and will drive us harder than ever to find more solutions to trauma and pre-hospital care challenges.
We’d like to thank all those who give us the feedback to help us make improvements.
