GP Trauma Training Day

On October 11th 2012, Prometheus Medical held a General Practitioner (GP) Trauma Training day at its residential training facility based in Herefordshire.

This one day course is designed to teach basic trauma principles to GP’s who may encounter patients presenting with acute life-threatening conditions. It aims to bring participants up to date with the latest emergency management guidelines, refresh basic resuscitative skills, and to restore confidence in managing these infrequently experienced situations, especially the Road Traffic Extrication (RTC) scenario.

The course was very well received by the 12 GP’s attending, who provided some very positive feedback:

“An excellent course.”

“Many thanks for a useful and enjoyable day.”

“All three instructors were excellent, approachable and positive about our efforts.”

“The scenarios were great and helped us to understand how adrenaline may help/hinder your plans!”

“A fantastic course which has given me the confidence to deal with an unexpected incident.”

“As I drove home, I realised that I had really enjoyed today. In fact, it was bloody brilliant and I will suggest all my GP friends’ book onto a course with you…Thanks again for a fantastic day.”
