Dr Russell takes on Tough Mudder charity challenge

On 21st September 2013 Dr Malcolm Russell will form part of a team taking part in the Tough Mudder challenge to raise money for an ultrasound machine for local charity, Mercia Accident Rescue Service (MARS). The Tough Mudder is a 10-12 mile course containing 25 obstacles including mud, water, ropes, walls, electric shocks! and fire.

MARS provides immediate medical care for the critically ill and injured in Herefordshire and Worcestershire in support of West Midlands Ambulance Service. All MARS members are volunteers and provide their experience and services free of charge.

Dr Russell will be part of a 5 person team, which also includes personnel from other emergency services. The aim of the event is to raise £12,000 and all donations, small or large, are very welcome and will be greatly appreciated. Donations can be made by clicking here.

We wish all of the team the best of luck – they’re going to need it!
