Russell PneumoFix steals the show at RETTmobil 2017
Prometheus Medical recently attended RETTmobil 2017 in Fulda, Germany, Europe’s leading exhibition for rescue and mobility. The event was a record breaker, with Prometheus one of a staggering 525 exhibitors in attendance. Our experts were on hand to guide the thousands in attendance through our innovative pre-emergency medical equipment, including the Russell PneumoFix®, Russell Chest Seal® and Prometheus ChitoGauze® XR Pro.
The Russell PneumoFix was especially popular, with delegates eager to learn more about the treatment of tension pneumothorax. The PneumoFix is a chest decompression device designed by practising clinicians who understand the limitations of conventional equipment, with a variety of features that make it a truly useful tool for emergency care providers. This includes an 11cm long catheter – long enough to reach the pleural cavity of the vast majority of patients, and a Veress-tipped needle to minimise the risk of injury to lung tissue.
David Preece, Chief Product Officer at Prometheus Medical, said of the show “This was our first time exhibiting at RETTmobil, and we were delighted with the positive reaction of delegates to our life-saving equipment. The event was extremely well attended and the organisers should be very proud of its reputation as one of Europe’s leading exhibitions for rescue and mobility. We’ve already booked our stand for 2018 and are very much looking forward to returning next year.”
