TECC LEO (Tactical Emergency Casualty Care | Law Enforcement Officers)

An 8-hour classroom course specifically designed for law enforcement officers and other non-EMS first responders. The course covers materials found in the 16-hour TECC provider course at a level appropriate for first responders. It includes 8 hours of content, which includes interactive lectures, skill stations, and patient simulations. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a certificate of completion, a wallet card recognizing them as a TECC-LEO provider for 4 years, and 8 hours of CAPCE credit for qualified participants.
Course Content
The Tactical Emergency Casualty Care aims to equip first responders with the essential medical skills required to deliver lifesaving immediate medical care in a tactical or ‘hot zone’ situation.
The syllabus includes:
- Hemorrhage control tactics lesson, plus practical tactics stations, on Tourniquet application /Pressure dressings/wound packing.
- Airway/breathing control lesson and practical scenario training.
- Rescue tactics lesson and practical training.
- Chest seals application and use.
- Nasal Pharyngeal Airway application and use.
- Appropriate scenario-Based Training/Simulations.
Entry Criteria
Registered Medical, Law Enforcement or First Responder personnel.
Certification
NAEMT Accredited course certificate.
