Prometheus is an NAEMT-registered provider of TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care) CLS (Combat Lifesaver) Course. TCCC courses are also endorsed by the Joint Trauma System and the American College of Surgeons. We are pleased to announce we offer courses in line with the 2024 updated syllabus. Our team of experienced clinicians and former military professionals will equip you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to effectively respond to trauma in high-threat situations.
What is TCCC?
Tactical Combat Casualty Care is a course for military and security personnel deploying in support of combat operations in hostile, remote, and austere environments.
What does TCCC cover?
The course aims to provide military and security personnel with the skills and confidence to identify and manage casualties with preventable causes of death.
Is there a civilian version of this course?
Prometheus Medical also offers TECC (Tactical Emergency Casualty Care) by NAEMT for civilian emergency response personnel.

Entry Criteria
TCCC-CLS Combat Lifesaver suits security, law enforcement or military personnel, emergency responders in austere or hostile environments, and humanitarian workers and journalists in conflict zones.
TCCC Skills Framework
Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) is developed by the U.S. Department of Defence, Defence Health Agency (DHA) Joint Trauma System to teach evidence-based, life-saving techniques and strategies for providing the best trauma care on the battlefield. Prometheus Medical is a part of NAEMT affiliate faculty that conducts these courses. TCCC is recognised worldwide and is the gold standard for the tactical environment.
How long is TCCC valid for?
TCCC certificate is valid for 4 years.
NAEMT Registered Provider
The National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) is the only national association representing the professional interests of paramedics, advanced emergency medical technicians, emergency medical technicians, emergency medical responders and other professionals providing prehospital and out-of-hospital emergent, urgent or preventive medical care.
Course Content
Duration: 5 Days
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Identify and manage life-threatening injuries in combat or tactical situations, including massive haemorrhage, airway obstruction, respiratory distress, and hypothermia.
- Apply tourniquets, haemostatic agents, and wound dressings to control bleeding in real-world scenarios.
- Perform effective airway management techniques, including the use of nasopharyngeal airways and recovery positions.
- Initiate needle chest decompression for the management of tension pneumothorax in a tactical setting.
- Utilise the MARCH algorithm to guide assessment and treatment decisions.
- Understand tactical evacuation principles, preparing patients for transport under fire.
- Perform casualty care under fire and in tactical field care environments, balancing medical priorities with situational awareness.
