Prometheus is an ALSG-registered provider of the 2 day MIMMS (Major Incident Medical Management and Support) course which exists to teach the nature and management of the major incident and how to deliver the medical support needed.
What is MIMMS?
MIMMS (Major Incident Medical Management and Support) presents the nature and management of a major incident, focusing on how to deliver the medical support needed to multiple casualties.
What does MIMMS cover?
As the only international standard in major incident medical management, the course is taught and the principles are practiced throughout the world, being integrated into civilian and military medical practice. The course objectives cover Understanding the organisations structures and roles in managing major incidents and how they work together, Be able to prepare for and implement a structured approach when responding to major incidents (CSCATTT), and being able to deliver the medical support needed at major incidents, through triage, treatment and transport.

Entry Criteria
The MIMMS education programme is for those from a medical, nursing, or paramedic background. Certification is issued by ALSG (Advanced Life Support Group) and is valid for four years.
How long is MIMMS valid for?
MIMMS certificate is valid for 4 years.
