Prometheus Medical Charity Golf Day raises £6k for Mercia Accident Rescue Service
Friday 24th July 2020 saw the annual return of the Prometheus Charity Golf Day, in aid of Mercia Accident Rescue Services (MARS).
Contributions this year have raised £6,842.44 for local charity MARS (reg. 515343) to support their team of specialist doctors and advanced medical practitioners working across Herefordshire and Worcestershire, delivering enhanced immediate medical care to patients in need.
Mercia Accident Rescue Services is a charity run organisation that acts as a support network alongside the West Midlands Ambulance Service. The cost of training and equipment alone costs in the region of £20,000 per year; Prometheus Medical considers MARS to be a charity deserving of its donations and is privileged to contribute to such a worthwhile cause.
Held at The Herefordshire Golf Club nearby in Wormsley, 36 teams made up of local businesses across Herefordshire were welcomed to take part in an 18-hole round of golf, followed by dinner, prize presentations and a raffle draw; Prometheus Medical would like to thank each of the businesses involved in sponsoring the event and donating prizes for the raffle.
Kev Gallagher, managing director Safeguard Europe said, ‘on behalf of everyone at Prometheus Medical, I’d like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who took part in the Charity Golf Day. This annual event offers a significant boost to the MARS charity and without regular support from generous local businesses, they would be unable to conduct and develop their life-saving efforts”.
Prometheus Medical were proud to present MARS with a cheque for the total sum of money raised and sincerely look forward to seeing everyone at the Charity Golf Day next year.
