MARS Charity Golf Day 2012

Prometheus Medical Ltd is delighted to announce that we will be hosting another charity golf day in aid of the Mercia Accident Rescue Service (MARS), a local emergency charity who, in support of West Midlands Ambulance Service, provide immediate medical care for the critically ill and injured in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.  All MARS members are volunteers and provide their services free of charge. Prometheus Medical Ltd considers MARS to be the most valuable of our local charities, providing life-saving care at the roadside and we feel it is fully deserving of support from the community it helps on a daily basis.

Last year’s event was extremely successful, raising £6214 for MARS, with over 20 teams participating and over 150 people attending the evening event. The day was sponsored by a number of companies and individuals including SP Services, Cargill Foods, Big Bear Plastic Products, Mark Fenton Design Services, Chris Sanderson Financial Services, Credit Suisse, Boundtree Medical, Medical Advisory Support Services, Resuscitation UK, Heggies Butchers, Vidacare, Dolby & Steve Mulholland and we were thrilled to gain so much local support.

After last year’s triumph, we have decided to do the whole thing again and organise another golf charity day. MARS depends fully on donations and without community support, would be unable to function, so raising money for the charity is vital and something we feel very strongly about here at Prometheus.

The day will be held at The Herefordshire Golf Club in Wormsley on Friday 8th June 2012. We would very much like to invite anyone and everyone to join us for the day and hope you will enter a team for the event. Entry is £140 per team of four players with refreshments on arrival, a round of golf, prizes and dinner.

Please go to www.marsbasics.org.uk and visit the ‘Supporting Us’ section to find out more and to register your team. Entry forms must be returned by Friday 25th May 2012.

We look forward to seeing you there.  Don’t forget your clubs!
