Important talks in Stavanger
This week the Prime Minister of Norway Erna Solberg visited Stavanger to discuss new business opportunities. CEO, Dr. Nils Oveland, of the newly established company Prometheus Medical Nordic informed her of the plans for the SEARCH Research Centre that just received a £300,000 grant from the University fund in Stavanger.
Dr. Oveland also met with the Norwegian Minister of Health, Bent Høie. They discussed opportunities related to the Healthcare industry. Bent Høie was informed about the establishment of Prometheus Medical Nordic and how MedTech research and innovation can create new jobs in a challenging time with the decrease in the oil market in Stavanger. Høie said during the meeting: “The health care industry in Norway exports for 20 billion each year and is the fastest growing industry we see today”.
