Charity Golf Day 2017 in Aid of Mercia Accident Rescue Service
Prometheus is once again organising its annual charity golf day in aid of Mercia Accident Rescue Service. This year’s event will take place on 19th May 2017 and is being held at the Herefordshire Golf Club, Wormsley. As always the event is open to everybody and will be a great day out for all involved, whether you are a group of friends, a company, a beginner or an experienced golfer. Prometheus is now in the 10th year of organising this charity golf day - last year’s event raised £3397.95 and we are hoping to receive a similar amount again this year.
Mercia Accident Rescue Service (MARS) is a local emergency medical charity (reg. 515343) consisting of doctors, a paramedic and a nurse, who volunteer their time and resources free of charge to provide immediate medical care for the critically ill and injured in Herefordshire and Worcestershire, in support of West Midlands Ambulance Service. Prometheus considers MARS to be the most valuable of our local charities, providing life-saving care at the roadside and fully deserving of support from the community it helps.
The event will be run in a slightly different way from previous years with a shotgun start being introduced. To enter a team of 4 it will still be £150 and this will include refreshments on arrival, a round of golf (with a shotgun start at 13:30) and dinner with a prize presentation.
If golf isn't your thing there are also a number of different ways you can support this event in addition to entering a team, which include sponsoring a hole or donating a prize for one of the special events during the competition.
