Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex become the first in the UK to begin using the QinFlow Warrior Lite Fluid Warmer
29th August 2019
Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex is the first organisation in the UK to be using the QinFlow Warrior Lite Fluid Warmer. With all of the same technology as the original Warrior, this life-saving organisation has benefited from the small, compact version of the device, making it the ideal option for those with space and weight limitations.
The Warrior Fluid Warmer was first introduced into the UK in 2015, and is widely used throughout the pre-hospital sector. It was initially designed and constructed for the Israeli military in 2014, and was made to be simple and easy-to-use in high stress environments. Designed to be used in field-based settings, it was also made to be as robust as possible, and able to withstand physical forces and impact within combat based locations.
Following months of feedback from the pre-hospital community noting that the original Fluid Warmer was too bulky and heavy for use on the UK Air Ambulances, QinFlow started to design a smaller compact version, designed to save space in bags, whilst still keeping the same technology and flow rates as the larger version.
Since its introduction onto the market, the Warrior Lite Fluid Warmer has first been used by the team at Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex, who have deeply benefited from the Warrior Lite's newly developed features:
“We have successfully used the Warrior Lite on a number of occasions over the past few weeks. The device is light weight and has consistently demonstrated excellent warming and flow rates. This, combined with its ease of set up and use, makes the device an excellent fit for our operation and the challenges our crew face every day delivering world class care to critically ill patients in the pre hospital environment.” Leigh Curtis, Executive Director of Service Delivery.
