Informed diagnosis with pre-hospital emergency ultrasound

BASICS North West recently hosted its inaugural Pre-hospital Emergency Care Conference in Ellesmere Port, which Prometheus Medical was delighted to support. The event welcomed expert speakers from the world of emergency care, all of whom provided their expert insights on a range of topics, from traumatic cardiac arrest, to the changing face of major trauma.

Sean House, Communications and Marketing Executive at Prometheus Medical, said, “Events such as these are incredibly important to ensure that those responding to medical incidents are kept abreast of the most recent research in their fields. It is a credit to BASICS North West that they secured the leading experts in their fields to share their knowledge that has been accumulated over years of hard work and dedication in the pre-hospital emergency environment.”

Dr Mamoun Abu-Habsa, Consultant in Critical Care and CEO of Prometheus Medical (MENA), attended the conference and gave an engaging talk on focused sonography in the pre-hospital environment and the rapidly expanding role of this technology within the civilian and military settings – a tool now widely considered integral to the primary survey of a critically ill or injured patient.

Prometheus Medical provides a full range of resuscitation and monitoring equipment including GE Healthcare’s Vscan Dual Probe, which has transformed physical exams to help enable efficient triage, fast workflow, and deepen patient connection.
