CMT1 Ambulance Technician Conversion Course - The Instructors
The Programme Leader is on the relevant part of the HPC register and all tutors are appropriately qualified. The tutors are all HPC approved and on the State Register. They have extensive experience of delivering Paramedic Training Programmes and hold the following nationally recognised qualifications:
- IHCD Instructional methods
- IHCD Instructor Qualifier
- Post Graduate Certificate of Education
All instructors maintain their clinical currency and credibility by remaining employed in clinical roles.
Rob Clark
Rob is an instructor with more than 20 years of Paramedic experience and is the Training manager covering Dorset and Somerset. Rob is currently completing his Masters dissertation and has a special interest in Trauma - being a member of national PHTLS Faculty.
Lizzie Ryan
Lizzie is the Training Manager West - Lizzie is an educationalist, having written paramedic degree programmes for 3 universities. Lizzie is currently undertaking a doctorate, and hold both a Masters degree in Business (MBA) and a Masters degree in Education (MEd).
Dave Halliwell
Dave is Head of Education for South Western Ambulance NHS, he too is completing a doctorate, and has 21 years of NHS Paramedic experience, holding a Masters degree in Training and Performance management, and with an interest in Paramedic learning, and clinical decision making. Dave has been a paramedic instructor for the last 15 years.
