Aim
The CMT1 Ambulance Technician Conversion Course aims to provide experienced CMTs with a civilian medical qualification recognised by UK Ambulance Service Trusts and the wider civilian community.
Entry Requirement
Combat Medic Technician Class One
This course applies accredited prior learning and accredited prior experiential learning and will require a submission of a learning portfolio to include reflective practice, medical training courses, conferences and seminars attended, teaching experience, appraisals, article reviews, record of hours of clinical activities.
Course Overview
The CMT1 Ambulance Technician Conversion Course is designed for CMT1 medics who wish to gain a qualification that would be recognised by UK Ambulance Service Trusts and the wider civilian community. Successful students will receive the IHCD Module D, E and F Ambulance Technician Certificate (QCF Level 3), which is a stand-alone qualification as well as the pre-requisite for advancing towards paramedic training.
