EZ-IO® offers medical providers the opportunity to obtain good access from an intra-osseous device. Can be used for administration of fluids, medication and blood using a luer-lock catheter. Designed to be inserted into the tibia or humeral head. Can be used on children and adults with needles available for patients >40kgs and 3-39 kgs.It is relatively painless on insertion and is easy to remove without the use of a specialist piece of equipment. It uses a lithium ion battery and has a shelf life of 15 years. Has an optional manual driver as an alternative method of needle insertion.
