'Reach-back' Facility

Prometheus can offer a 'reach-back' facility to UK based doctors to provide advice to customers on all medical issues from primary care through to urgent medical conditions.

This unique service allows access to a range of highly skilled and specialist medical consultants to provide state-of-the-art medical advice on dealing with the most demanding medical situations.

This team acts as your specialist medical back up; supporting and empowering you to effectively deliver medical services during emergencies, disasters and major incidents, particularly in remote or hostile environments.

Access to this team of internationally respected clinical experts in a wide variety of fields is just a phone call, satellite communication or email away, allowing you:

• The capability to communicate via BGAN satellite communications directly with a range of UK based, highly skilled and specialist medical consultants. Real-time advice on dealing with the most demanding medical situations, particularly those in remote or hostile environments
• Access to medical advice for verbal guidance resulting from the description of a problem or the sharing of images (still and/or video)
• Access to product detail or training information relating to medical products.

In the past our customers have benefited from the advice and guidance through the 'Reach-back' facility in the following situations:

• The Adventure/World Traveller - travelling to remote locations where communications (apart from satellite) cannot be guaranteed and where medical advice may need to be sought.
• Maritime enthusiasts -when the vessel is away from home port and during which time the passengers and crew require access to medical advice.
