Prometheus Supports Sponsored CPR Training in Bromyard - 18 November 2008

Andy Purdie, Senior Instructor at Prometheus Medical, assisted 2 Community First Responders (CFR) and a paramedic from West Midlands Ambulance Service when they taught Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to students at the Queen Elizabeth Humanities College in Bromyard.

In addition to learning these important life skills, the training event was organised to raise money towards the provision of new medical bags for CFRs in the local area and each student was sponsored to carry out 5 minutes of continuous CPR.  Local response was amazing and the day raised well over £2000, which is enough for the first ‘First Responder Kit’.

CFRs are called to respond to many different types of medical emergency, including serious or life threatening injuries or illnesses and Prometheus was pleased to assist such a worthwhile initiative.
