WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Rescuers working in caving, disaster relief and Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) teams.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Delegates must have previously completed a Baseline Tactical Medical Support Course within 3 years prior to undertaking this training.

WHAT WILL I STUDY?

By the end of training you will:

• Have an effective working knowledge of and gain practical skills in delivering medical support in:
  - Areas with known structural weakness of buildings 
  - Areas of earthquake threat
  - Built up urban areas under terrorist threat
• Be introduced to the basic principles of urban search and rescue focusing particularly on the difficult medical aspects of provided care in collapsed structures or confined spaces.
