Residential Training Facility

Set in over eleven acres of Herefordshire countryside, Prometheus has based its residential training complex around The Old Rectory. The main property is an impressive Gothic Revival residence dating back to 1859 and serves as high-quality accommodation for up to 24 students attending residential courses.  Our full time chef produces delicious menus from the kitchen (awarded the 5* rating for Health & Hygiene in a recent inspection) .  The Old Rectory is furnished with modern facilities providing an ideal and comfortable environment for learning.

Two separate, modern classroom blocks offer lecture rooms and break-out areas, equipped with the latest educational technologies.   The learning environment benefits from educational tools such as interactive whiteboards and an integrated personal response ‘voting’ system designed to encourage whole class participation and enhance learning.

Outdoors, the expansive grounds provide the ideal training environment for interactive scenario-based exercises and include a purpose built vehicle extrication training compound, enhancing Prometheus’ innovative training philosophy.

Our training is focused on the realities of providing medical skills in difficult environments. We only use instructors with proven depth of experience, credibility and expertise in the teaching and delivery of emergency medicine.

You will be trained in realistic scenarios with a range of relevant kit.  Hands-on practice, student interaction and discussion lead to skill retention and real applicability.  You will leave all training with a solid foundation of knowledge, skills and behaviour.
