WHAT WILL I STUDY?

During this training you will participate in a series of interactive outdoor training scenarios to teach and enhance skills of teamwork, communications, leadership and improvisation. Use is made of two-way radios, global positioning systems and mountain rescue equipment. These interactive sessions are interspersed with a small number of superb short lectures outling key issues such as:

• How to deal with environmental problems such as diving medicine, altitude medicine and cold injury.
• Expedition planning and preparation.
• Pre-hospital emergency medicine.
• Casualty extrication from vehicles in remote areas.
• Health protection for expeditions.
